When you click on the "Launch Game Client" button, you will be taken to the game. If you do not have the Adobe Flash player plugin for your browser installed, then you will be prompted to install it. It is a very small and quick install and will give you a better browsing experience on many web sites. You will not be able to play Fleet Combat Online without it.
If you are not prompted to install anything, then it means you already had flash installed, which is very common, and saves you an extra step.
You should now be at the game interface which looks like this:
Here are the major interface elements that you need to know about:
Command Bar (on the left side)
Message Bar (across the bottom)
System Bar (on the right side)
Game Board (the black area in the middle)
