Current Features
- Turn Based or "Near Real Time" play modes
- 1 to 12 players per game (this is not a technical limit, it is just to keep things simple to start)
- Combat Eras
- The Interplanetary Era is the near future where ships travel at low sublight speeds between the planets. There is no electromagnetic shielding and weapons are mainly projectile based. This era is based on technology that is "just around the corner"
- The Interstellar Era is when starships come to be. Ships have the ability to travel at faster than light speeds, but it is a big ordeal to "spool up" the FTL drives, so they need to be used wisely in combat. But some form of electromagnetic shielding exists, and energy weapons become more prevelant. Carriers and fighters also become pratical as ships get larger and carry more people and material.
- Tactical Control - each weapon on the ship can be independently targeted, loaded and fired with a variety of ammo.
- Game Replay - watch a game from start to finish or just selected turns at any time.
- Defensive - depending on the era of course, you will have control over various defensive technologies to defeat incoming fire.
- Sensors - scan the ships to find their weakness or use the sensors to look for mines.
- Damage Control - send repair teams to the critical systems to keep the ship in the fight.
- The ships available to you in a given battle is based on your credibility with your superiors. You must spend command points to requisition ships for your fleet. Lose too many battles, and getting the top of the line ships will be more difficult.
- Long battles with dozens of ships or quick engagements with one on one
- AI to control enemy ships if you want to practice.
- Fleet persistence - ships you requisition can be permanently assigned to your command. You can build a fleet that will always be there for any battle.
- Spectator mode and replay sharing. Watch a replay of your battle, or watch previous battles of your opponent to learn their strategy.

- Galactic Era — this is where the technology goes through the roof. All the fancy toys that you see in the movies. Transporters, shields, tractor beams, etc. Ships that can move in and out of faster than light travel at a whim will add a new dimension to combat tactics.
- Unlimited players per game.
- Player substitutions - someone else can take over for a player who drops out.
- Ship Designer - create your own ship classes with your own weapon combinations.
- Factions - join a faction and do battle with other faction members. Factions can create their own ship classes. Faction leaders can issue ships to commanders.
